Location
Stony Point Center is nestled in the Lower Hudson River Valley, between New York City and West Point. It began as a summer get-away cottage for a New York family and has grown into a 32 acre place of renewal that welcomes ALL who seek its hospitality. Thousands of people from all over the world, representing all walks of life, have come and been touched by the experience, the presence and challenge of God.
By Car:
From New York City: Cross the George Washington Bridge (upper level), take the PALISADES PARKWAY NORTH to Exit 15.
From the North: Take the New York State Thruway (I-87) South to Exit 16 (Harriman), go East on Route 6 (the first exit after the toll gate, left onto 32, then left onto Route 6 East) to the PALISADES PARKWAY SOUTH to Exit 15.
From the South: Take New Jersey Turnpike (I-95) North to the PALISADES PARKWAY NORTH to Exit 15. OR Take the Garden State Parkway onto the New York State Thruway (I-87) toward the Tappan Zee Bridge. Take Exit 13N onto the PALISADES PARKWAY NORTH to Exit 15.
From the East: Take I-95 South onto I-287, cross the Tappan Zee Bridge, take exit 13N onto the PALISADES PARKWAY NORTH to Exit 15.From the West: Take I-80 East to I-287 onto the New York State Thruway (I-87) toward the Tappan Zee Bridge. Take Exit 13N onto the PALISADES PARKWAY NORTH to Exit 15.
From the Palisades Parkway Exit 15: (TEMPORARY DETOUR DURING BRIDGE WORK) Follow arrow for Stony Point; drive about 2 miles on Gate Hill Road (also called RC 106 East) to Reservoir Road (also called RC 47) and make a left on to Reservoir Road. Turn right at the stop sign onto West Main Street.(Pass Gilmor Sloane House on your left.) Take your first left onto Crickettown Road. Drive about 200 yards. Entrance to Stony Point Center is on the left.
If you are coming by public transportation
By Bus:
Route 11T, 11AT, 47, 48, 49 and some additional routes from Port Authority on Rockland Coaches, Inc. Please check the schedule and buy your ticket before boarding the bus. Buses leave Port Authority hourly. Please call 845-786-5674 and give 24 hour notice for pickup at the Stony Point bus stop.
Regular route takes less than two hours; express buses are 1 1/2 hours to Stony Point.
From Grand Central take Metro-North to the Ossining station. Then take a scenic ferry from Ossining to Haverstraw and arrange with our transportation coordinator to pick you up in Haverstraw. For more information see Ferry Schedule
By Train: You may either take the NJ Transit to Suffern, or Amtrak service or Metro-North to Croton-Harmon. The fee for pickup in Suffern is $25.00 and at Croton-Harmon the fee is $55.00. For schedule information check either NJ Transit for NJ Transit or Metro North for Metro North. Please call 845-786-5674 x110 and give seven day advanced notice for pickup at a train station or airport.
By Plane:
Please call Pam in our transportation department with questions at x110. Van Service can be arranged for a nominal fee from the following locations:
Minimum one way charge for transportation from or to Newark Airport is $85.00* per trip. Allow approximately 1 hour for the trip to or from Stony Point.
Trips to JF Kennedy International; minimum one way charge is $100.00*. Allow approximately 1.5 hours for the trip to or from Stony Point.
Trips to LaGuardia Airport: minimum one way charge is $90.00. Allow approximately 1 hour to Stony Point.
* Prices may fluctuate depending on the price of gas.
Prices quoted are for car transportation with 3 or less passengers. For larger groups, please call regarding van transportation.
