Friend's Contribute to Technology

The Friend’s Make a Generous Contribution to Technology Upgrades. 

The Friend’s of Stony PointCenter are a dedicated group often sneakily supporting aesthetic upgrades and quietly supporting projects that enhance the guest experience.  They have recently helped to push us further into the 21^st century, technologically speaking.  Funding will improve Wireless Internet Access in Beta for larger groups that conduct meetings there, and especially for our 65 Royal Thai Scholars that will need consistent ‘up-time’ for their important quest of applying for prestigious U.S. Universities.

In addition, we have a new Public Address system in the Auditorium.  We’ll extend wireless networking to the third floor of Gilmor Sloane by year end.  The funds will also go towards digital recording equipment as we continue to provide recording services to guests, and work towards easier dissemination of the important work that is being done at the Center.  “The Friend’s are a stalwart group of SPC supporters who are helping us to meet the guests’ increasingly sophisticated technology needs,” comments Paula Sandusky, Information Technology Manager.  The Friend’s committee invites you to become a Friend of Stony Point Center with an annual membership fee.  Benefits include a 10% discount in the Shop at the Point.  Click Here for an application form.
