Residents of the Community of Living Traditions live on the Stony Point Center's campus and also serve the center as volunteers. Members of the Community of Living Traditions seek to live out the best of their own faith tradition, and to participate in the study and practice of multifaith nonviolence at SPC and in the wider world. They bring passion, skills and an eagerness to learn more about nonviolence and peace advocacy in a multifaith, multicultural and multigenerational setting. Members of the Community of Living Traditions come to us through one of our three partners: the Muslim Peace Fellowship, Shomer Shalom Network, or the Luke 6 Project. If you are interested in applying for residency, the first step is to contact the elder of your faith tradition so that they can begin a conversation with you.
There are two options for residency in the Community of Living Traditions: coming as a one-year resident or participating in our three-month cohort program, which runs from September 19th to December 19th and January 30th through May 1st. Applications are due by July 1st for the fall and October 15th for the spring. One –year applications are reviewed as they are received.
